Watley

My beautiful cat Watley passed away this morning, outside, under the warm sun. His favorite place to be. He was my baby dude; kitten sized and skinny, never weighing much more than a feather. But he was always sickly, and had gone blind three years ago. I hope he felt my love when he left me. I hope he knew how special he was. How funny he was. Oh lord, I’ve never had such a funny cat in my life.

There’s a hole in my heart, it hurts so bad. God, I miss my baby dude. He was only 9. He was just a baby ๐Ÿ™

He’ll come back home to me in about 3 weeks. ๐Ÿ’™

Radio Garden & TV Garden

These sites are so fun ๐Ÿ™‚

Radio Garden – Explore radio stations from around the world. Spin the globe, choose a place, and tune in to whatever is playing there.

TV Garden – The closest we may ever get to that “late night channel surfing in the 80s and 90s” vibe. Bored in the middle of the night a few months ago, I came across this site and got sucked into a surreal American 50’s Cartoon broadcasting out of Sweden.

Guestbook Archives

Even though I tended to go scorched earth on my sites when I was butt hurt about something back in the day (ha), I still saved everything (thank GOD). One of the things I saved was backups of my guestbooks. I recall, in maybe 2012 or so, compiling them onto a spreadsheet and cleaning them up – and then not doing anything with them. Well, I came across that spreadsheet a few weeks ago, and thought it would be a cool time capsule.

My Guestbook Archive

It includes some “teen domain” era superstars, my IRL high school friends and classmates being total edge lords, my high school boyfriend being… my high school boyfriend, friends and relatives who have passed away, and even an entry from my husband two years before we actually met, haha. Finding that I still had all this made me so happy. It’s pretty priceless to my nostalgic ass, haha.

I really wish I didn’t stop having a guestbook. Comments and replies on my Livejournal, Blog, and eventually Facebook took their place, unfortunately.

Dave’s Archives

I’ll be using this blog to share interesting, cool, fun, cozy, informative, etc links I know of or come across. Remember Pitas? Haha.

I’ve picked Dave’s Archives to be my first link. I will probably not be linking to Youtube channels very often (I’ll probably just do a channel dump in a future post) but I’m a huge fan of old commercials and Dave’s is my favorite place to watch them. I’ve been a viewer for almost ten years, and if you’re anywhere near as nostalgic as I am, you’ll have so much fun here too. Make sure to set aside some time to binge – Dave has hundreds of videos of commercial breaks from the 70s, 80s, and 90s (mostly 80s), and one could easily get lost for hours watching. He also goes live every week and it’s… just a really good time. haha.

An Uplifting Haircut

Feeling pretty good, considering it’s a bad anniversary for me today. Physically, I am stuff, sore, and sunburnt from working a yard sale two days ago. Oh the painnnn >.<

I got about 18 inches cut off my hair on Friday. It feels soooo good. Nice and cool ๐Ÿ˜Š I really need to get haircuts more frequently than every 4-6 years.

I happened upon a video on Tiktok a few months ago of a woman getting about two feet of hair cut, crying, with the caption “Hair Holds Trauma”. It stayed with me, and I knew my next haircut would be emotional after reading that. The aforementioned bad anniversary is related to the trauma I hope I’ve shed by cutting this hair off. Any hair I had when the event and its aftermath occurred is now gone, no longer a part of me, and… honestly, even it’s kinda woowoo, I am all for it and yes, it actually feels good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Time to get to the store to ask for a loan on the BP meds my Doctor is dragging his feet authorizing… I only need them to survive, nbd, take your time….
